What do you need to open an account at Taptap Send?
To create an account, you need to be a resident of Bahrain with a valid national digital identity. During sign-up, we'll verify your identity using EKEY (Bahrain's national digital ID system), so make sure you have it set up on your device before getting started.
You'll also be asked to confirm a few details, including your reason for using the app.
Before your first transfer, we'll ask you to confirm your relationship to the recipient and the purpose of your transfer. We ask this on every transaction.
Where can you send money to?
You can send money to many countries across Asia, Africa and South America, with more coming soon. Open the app and select the receiving country from the list on the homepage. You can also see this list on our website.
What payment methods can you use to send money?
You can pay using your Bahraini debit card via BENEFIT, Bahrain's local payment network. When you confirm your transfer, you'll be redirected to complete the payment securely.
Please note that internationally issued cards are not currently supported. You need a locally issued Bahraini debit card to send money.
Sending limits
The amount that you can send depends on the country and provider you send to.

How much do you pay to send?
For most markets, we charge a small percentage of the exchange rate and no additional transfer fees. We work hard to offer the best daily exchange rates possible!
For certain countries, a small fixed fee is charged, regardless of the amount you send. There are no other hidden fees.
