What do you need to open an account at Taptap Send?
Signing up is a simple, safe and secure process that complies with local regulations and requirements.
To open an account:
- You need to be a resident in Brazil

You must have an active mobile phone number from Brazil
Before your first transfer, you'll need to:
- Upload a government-issued ID (we accept Brazilian National ID, Brazilian passport, Residence permit, Driver's license or Work permit)
- Take a selfie
- Provide your CPF number (Brazilian tax identification number)
You won't be able to send money until your identity and CPF have been successfully verified.

Where can you send money to?
You can send money to many countries across Asia, Africa and South America, with more coming soon. Open the app and select the receiving country from the list on the homepage. You can also see this list on our website.
What payment methods can you use to send money?
You can send money using PIX, a very common instant bank transfer method used across Brazil.
When you make a transfer with Taptap Send:
- We generate a PIX payment code
- You copy and paste this code into your bank's app to complete the payment
- The payment must be completed within 15 minutes
- If the payment is not completed in time, the transfer will expire and no money will be taken from your bank account
At the moment, PIX is the only supported payment method in Brazil.
Sending limits
The amount that you can send depends on the country and provider you send to.

How much do you pay to send?
For most markets, we charge a small percentage of the exchange rate and no additional transfer fees. We work hard to offer the best daily exchange rates possible!
For certain countries, a small fixed fee is charged, regardless of the amount you send. There are no other hidden fees.
