How to verify your Taptap Send account

Why do you need to verify your account?

At Taptap Send, ensuring our users’ safety is the top priority for us. This is why we ask every user to verify their identity.

What do you need to do?

Please upload through the app:

  • A government-issued identification document (ID): containing your name, your photo, your date of birth. The ID needs to be valid and not expired.
  • A selfie. Please make sure that we can clearly see your face, no blurs nor glare.

The verification will also raise your sending limits and improve your experience using Taptap Send.

How do you upload a document?

1- Open the Taptap Send application and log in to your account

2- Tap on the message in the app that says you need to upload ID. (If you have already submitted the document and it was not accepted the first time, please see below for re-submission.)

3- Just follow the flow and let the platform guide you. We use a secure, third-party platform to verify your information.

Please see here for a step-by-step tutorial on how to upload your ID.

What if there was an issue with the documents you sent?

In most cases, it only takes a moment to verify account and remove the sending limit for our users. We aim to review your documents on the same day.

In case there's something wrong, we will inform you via email with a detailed explanation of what we need to receive. Please check your email for instructions.

At this point, you may also re-submit a new document via the app: Open the ≡ Menu in the upper left hand corner of the app and select "Upload other documents", or contact our Support team for help.
