How can you send money to Jamaica?

You can send money via Taptap Send to any bank in Jamaica.

 

How much will you pay to send to Jamaica?

For transfers received in JMD, we will simply charge a small percentage of the exchange rate and no additional transfer fees.

For transfers received in USD: 

  • If sent from the US, we will charge a small fee per transfer as seen below

    $111-$360 $2.75
    $361-$610 $4.50
    $611-$1200 $9
    $1201-$2500 $16
  • If sent from anywhere else, we will simply charge a small percentage of the exchange rate and other transfer fees.

What can you do if you send money to the wrong person or to the wrong number?

For bank transfers, if you made a mistake with the recipient’s name or bank account, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do as the funds cannot be reversed.

 

Tips for the recipient

If you sent a bank transfer after banking hours:

  1. VICTORIA MUTUAL BUILDING SOCIETY:
    • Your transfer will take up to 1 additional business day
  2. All other banks:
    • Your transfer will take up to 2 hours to be delivered
