What is cashback on my Taptap Send Card?
Cashback is a reward you can earn when you use your Taptap Send Card on eligible purchases. From time to time, we'll run offers on specific merchants or types of spending — for example, a percentage back on groceries, or a set amount back when you shop at a particular store. When you opt into a cashback offer and make a qualifying purchase, we'll add the cashback to your Taptap Send Wallet.
The cashback is real money. It lands in your main wallet balance, so you can spend it, send it, or withdraw it like the rest of your funds.
How do I find offers available to me?
You'll see any cashback offers available to you in the Taptap Send app on your home screen and on your card details page. Each offer will tell you what you need to do to get the reward, how much you can earn, any minimum spend, and when the offer ends.
Which offers you see depends on factors like where you live and the type of card you have (e.g., physical or virtual card). If you don't see an offer, it is not available to you at this time. We are rolling out this feature gradually.
Do I need to do anything to activate an offer?
Yes. You need to add each offer in the Taptap Send app before you make any qualifying purchase with your card. To add the offer, go to Cashback Offers in the app, find the offer you want to take part in, and click “add offer”, it’s that simple. If you haven’t tapped “add offer” before you make a purchase, then unfortunately we won’t be able to give you the cashback. Once you've added the offer, any qualifying transaction you make while the offer is active will earn cashback.
Can I earn cashback on purchases made with Apple Pay or Google Pay?
Yes. Apple Pay and Google Pay purchases made with your Taptap Send Card earn cashback the same way as any other card purchase. As long as the card and transaction qualify for an active offer, you'll earn cashback.
When will I see my cashback in my wallet?
Quickly! Cashback is added to your Taptap Send Wallet as soon as your card transaction is approved. You'll see it as its own line in your wallet and card activity pages, labelled as cashback.
Which wallet does my cashback go into?
Cashback is added to your local currency Taptap Send Wallet. So if you are based in the UK, cashback will be added to your GBP wallet.
It works like the rest of your wallet balance, so you can spend it with your card, send it in a transfer, or withdraw it.
Is there a limit on how much cashback I can earn?
Each offer sets its own rules. Some offers only work if you spend a certain amount first. Others have a limit on how much cashback you can earn, or only let you use the offer a set number of times. You'll see the limits listed on the offer before you add the offer to your account, as well as on the offer details page any time you visit the app.
What if I qualify for more than one offer on the same purchase?
You'll get the offer that pays you the most on that transaction. Only one offer applies per purchase, and we’ll give you the one that has the biggest cashback.
Why didn’t I earn cashback on my transaction?
A few common reasons:
You didn’t tap “add offer” before making the purchase
The purchase didn't meet the offer's minimum spend
You'd already hit the offer's usage limit or cashback cap
The offer ended before your transaction went through
The shop's category didn't match the offer. Every shop has a code that tells us what type of shop it is. But sometimes that code doesn't match what the shop actually sells. For example, a café inside a bookstore might have a bookstore code instead of a café code.

Do cashback offers expire?
Yes, every offer has an end date, which you'll see on the offer itself. Once an offer ends, you won't earn cashback from it on any new purchases. Any cashback you already earned stays in your wallet.
What happens to my cashback if I get a refund on a purchase?
If you get cashback but then your payment is cancelled or reversed, we'll take that cashback back out of your Wallet. You only keep cashback from payments that go through successfully.
Can I withdraw the cashback I earn?
Yes. Cashback sits in your Taptap Send Wallet and behaves the same as the rest of your balance, so you can spend it, send it, or withdraw it.
Who is eligible for cashback offers?
Cashback offers are available to select Taptap Send cardholders in the UK and EU. Which offers you see depends on factors like your country and the type of card you have.
