What are instant bank transfers?
Taptap Send has launched a faster way of sending bank transfers to Bangladesh by partnering with 32 major banks. The list of eligible banks is highlighted on the Taptap Send app using a green lightning bolt and “instant” text.
How does it work?
When adding a new recipient, choose one of the instant banks and enter the correct length account number, as shown below. If the account number is not the correct length of digits, it may arrive at the normal transfer speed.

How long will it take?
If you send to a recipient using one of our highlighted banks and choose the correct length account number, then we expect most recipients to receive the money within 5 minutes -- for example, 90% of transfers arrive in 5 minutes or less. In a small number of cases (e.g., if a transaction has triggered certain KYC thresholds and the sender needs to provide additional documents), it may take longer for the transaction to be completed.
Please ensure your recipients check their local bank account by logging into online banking, visiting or calling the branch.
What if my transfer takes longer?
Please double check the chosen recipient bank is highlighted as “instant” in the app and ensure that you have entered the correct length account number from the table above.
If the chosen bank is not “instant” and/or the incorrect length of digits have been entered then your transfer may be completed within the normal timeframe of 1-2 working days.
